Will I outgrow my Juvenile Arthritis?
I'm 16. My symptoms showed up about a year and a half ago. It's really frustrating and I want to know if the chances of me suddenly becoming normal again are likely are not. I get really bad ankle and foot pain, mainly in the right one and I haven't been to school in 3 weeks because the flare ups have gotten to a level that's unbearable. I am beginning to get extremely depressed and haven't been able to hang out with friends in far too long. My legs are also getting incredibly weak due to the fact that I can't work them out because of my foot. I think I should also add that I like to swim and am pretty good at it. I really wanted to do it this year, but was unable to because of my grades (which were a result of constant hospital visits and missed days of schools because of arthritis). I really hope I get the chance to swim next year and would really like to start training myself by swimming and working out as often as possible. One of my goals is to be one of the best. Please help me, any advice would be appreciated. My situation is so frustrating and I am constantly becoming furious and upset. I really need help. Will I be able to outgrow this? Thank you.
