The Truth About Scam Arthritis Cures
For every 10 people that use scam arthritis cure-alls, 1 will have a bad side effect. This ten percent is a great deal of people, people that should not have to go through such sides effects
for cures that have no chance of working anyhow. There is always a hope in the back of other's minds that "perhaps this one will work", perhaps "this is the magic formula I've been searching for". Alas, for the majority of "cures" that come onto the market, this doesn't prove to be the case.
One of these arthritis cures is cod liver oil. The theory is that this cod liver oil lubricates the joints. This seems plausible but no, it's just like any other fat you take into your body. There isn't any difference in taking cod liver oil and taking olive oil. Cod liver oil will have no noticeable affect on any of your arthritis symptoms. In fact, large amounts will give you Vitamin D or Vitamin A toxicity. So be careful in what you take; just because it's sold as an herbal or "all natural" treatment doesn't mean that it won't be harmful to you later on. Read the research on the claims and never take more than the recommended dose of any supplement.
Another scam claim is that food may cause "allergic" arthritis. The theory is that some foods will actually give you arthritis as a type of allergic reaction. Again, this is completely false. No food will give you arthritis or anything similar to it. Many believe that tomatoes are a big culprit in this "allergic" arthritis, but they are fine and completely harmless in respect to arthritis. Foods can give you allergic reactions, true, but they will not give you arthritis in this allergic reaction. Allergies and arthritis are two very different ailments, and one will not give you the other. The last scam arthritis cure I will address is fish oil. The theory is that fish oil will decrease inflammation of the joints. Now there is rheumatoid arthritis research that does indeed state that omega 3 fattyArthritis Foundation http://www.arthritis.org
